Pub Note: "Cowen p289. 2nd edition, 1st was 1865. Only two editions are known, 1865 and 1866 (Wheat). Wheat praised these maps and illustrated all nine. With a beautiful chromo litho title page. The nine maps are all double page and full of interesting information. They were lithographed by Grafton T. Brown, the first black lithographer in San Francisco. Rare. Book bound with cloth covers and ""Guide Book of the Pacific"" on the spine."
