Publication Note: Another format of a much varied map publication by Blanchard. Folded into black cloth covers 15.5x10.5 with "Guide Map Of Chicago And Environs" in gilt. Inside are two full color maps, the larger being Chicago and Environs, the smaller being the Guide Map of Chicago. The larger map is the "mother" map for all of the variations published as Chicago maps by Blanchard and Cram, together and separately. The smaller map is slightly larger than our 1867 edition and has a different group of vignettes (one less and one being the same). And there is inserted a copy of the Citizen's Guide, and glued to it an excellent catalogue of Blanchard's maps for sale.
