Which observation has made us realize that all the California and western maps in the Mitchell Universal Atlas series started from the Texas, Oregon, California map of 1846 (the first California map appeared in the 1847 Atlas). The last issue of this atlas by Desilver was 1858, with an 1859 issue by Cushing and Bailey. Full color.
