Description:
A coiled palm fiber lidded basket, conical shape with flat sides; woven base of broad palm splints, each divided into many strips to form bundles wrapped with palm fiber; flat topped lid coiled in same way as body with recessed collar fitting into body rim; bands of wrappings dyed solid green, purple, and orange; other bands wrapped with alternating colors; a band of spaced red, white, and blue cylinder disk glass bead crosses around body center; larger, truncated crosses of red, white, blue, and yellow glass beads in bands around top and bottom of body; staggered red, white, and blue bead crosses around lid; leather thong loop through top of lid, knitted on the inside.
