Context:
Silver and gold objects were usually made in northern Iran--not in Luristan. This pin, however, resembles bronze ones made in Luristan. The main subject on this pin and on ther silver beaker nearby is the master-of-the-animals, a man who grips one wildbeast in each hand--a favorite ancient Near Eastern motif.
