Subject Description: 
Veranda post representing an enthroned king seated before a standing senior wife; with two small figures at king's feet. King seated on high back chair; arms at sides, hands placed on legs; hands have articulated fingers. Represented wearing conical 'ade' crown and long tunic; low relief necklace, bracelets, and anklets with incised lines demarcating individual beads. Crown mounted by large bird with three anthropomorphic faces on each side; and with incised herringbone and chevron patterns arranged horizontally. Oval-shaped face with almond-shaped eyes; wide nose; and open mouth baring teeth; gap between front teeth. Standing female figure with arms at sides, bent at elbows; hands resting on back of king's chair; articulated fingers. Oval-shaped facewith almond-shaped eyes; wide nose; and open mouth baring teeth; gap between front teeth; three vertical, incised lines on each cheek. Represented wearing elaborate coiffure with incised lines and geometric designs; loincloth; low relief necklace and bracelets with incised lines demarcating individual beads. Low relief loincloth with thick horizontal lines. Large conical shaped breasts with low relief nipples; very low relief navel; undetailed legs with plank-like feet. Standing male figure at proper left; holding adze-like object to mouth with bent arms; incised lines suggest fingers. Represented with elaborate coiffure; wearing pants. Oval-shaped face with almond-shaped eyes; wide nose. Kneeling female figure in front of king; with arms at sides; hands resting at knees. Represented wearing elaborate coiffure with incised lines and geometric designs; loincloth. Low relief loincloth with thick horizontal lines. Oval-shaped face with almond-shaped eyes; wide nose. Large conical shaped breasts with low relief nipples; very low relief navel; undetailed legs with plank-like feet with incised lines suggesting toes. Loss of figure at proper left; plank-like feet remain.
