In the early 1900s the Cream of Wheat Company began an innovative ad campaign using paintings by well-known artists. Between 1902 and 1926 over 400 original works of art had been commissioned by the company to be used as full-page advertisements in leading magazines such as Ladies Home Journal and Saturday Evening Post.N.C. Wyeth, celebrated American painter and illustrator, is renowned for his spirited interpretation of Western frontier life. Wyeth completed two paintings for Cream of Wheat in 1906, The Bronco Buster and Rural Delivery.
