Note:
Early map of Tulare County showing a large Tulare Lake, not yet reduced in size (but about to be - many lots are indicated extending into the lake, for fill). A very attractive map with views of the County Court House at Visalia and other important buildings, inset maps of towns, and eleven advertisements for local merchants. At the far right of the map, on the county line, is "Largest Tree in the World Diam. 46 Feet" with a small drawing of the tree. Vogdes lists one earlier map of the county, the 1867 Chapman and Gordon map. With black top and bottom rollers. Full color by township.
