Color map of Yaqui River Valley. Shows completed and in construction canals, railroad project, etc. The company purchased most of the land from the bankrupt Sinaloa and Sonora Land and Irrigation Company, and sold the rights to build the railroad to the Southern Pacific Railroad Company. Work on the project was stalled during the Mexican Revolution. The contracts previously granted by the president Porfirio Diaz were renegotiated with the new president, Alvaro Obregón. Yaqui Delta Land and Water Company was formed by the Richardson in 1909 to sell bonds for Compañia Constructora Richardson. Date established based on notes in pencil.
