With 1 volume of 82 maps, 1837. Each bound in colored marbled half leather cardboard with gold-embossed on spine, orange section with title “Fischer u. Streit’s Atlas von Europa” and green section with gold stamped “erster band, zweiter band, dritter band” on spine. Atlas bound in colored marbled half leather cardboard with gold-embossed on spine and title gold stamped in green section “ Karte zu Fischer u. Streit’s Atlas von Europa” on front cover. First volume with engraved title page with vignette, map of Europe. The text volumes contain reference to historical and geographic descriptions of the European countries, index and no maps. Atlas volume includes 82 engraved hand colored in outline maps, some folded, and table of contents. Showing political and administrative boundaries, cities, towns, rivers, canals, and mountain heights. v. 1, 1009 pages, v. 2 664 & 735 pages. Friedrich Wilhelm Streit was a Mathematician in the Prussian artillery, and from 1807 to 1808 director of the Geographical Institute in Weimar, for which he designed 6 new maps of Europe.
