First typographic atlas of Europe, with movable types in color printed, maps.- Franz Raffelsperger improved the Typometrie in the application of letterpress printing for the map production using geographical types. For ministries, universities, schools, academies, clubs, societies, military, wholesaler, directorates of large enterprises, etc. With 24 lithographed maps 41x58, with index sheet, separate list of symbols, imprint sheet, . Second title page (Blatt No.1) with legend and list of German states, together forming one large format map of Europe. Housed in original green morocco folio folder. Directory of published maps on verso of title page. Maps showing transportation facilities, railways, steamships, canals, roads, cities, towns, ports, etc. Prime meridians are Greenwich and Ferro. Relief shown by formlines and hachures.
