"A beautiful and rare pictorial map of Uruguay or Oriental Republic of Uruguay. This large tourist map, lithographed in color, was drawn by P. Pauselli in August 1936. It is decorated with a title cartouche on a background of the Uruguayan flag, decorated with the coat of arms of Uruguay, with a world map showing the location of Uruguay, and a table showing the area of the country, the production of cattle, grain or precious minerals, the number of schools or the number of kilometers of railways in operation . The country is decorated with numerous vignettes showing scenes of agricultural life, cattle, essential wealth of Uruguay, factories, mines, plantations, and some towns located on the banks of the Rio de La Plata, such as the capital of Montevideo. The map is surrounded by a border illustrating the qualities of Uruguay, and the information depicted on the map. Tourism, cattle, agriculture, mining, sport, democracy, beauty and industry, these are the charms of Uruguay. The map stretches west to Buenos Aires, and east to Rio Grande in Brazil."
