Atlas of the 20 administrative districts of the city of Paris, collections of plans published every two years between 1866 and 1936. The first edition of this series, 1866, appeared under the title of General Plan of the City of Paris and its Surroundings. This 1868 edition was published according to the orders of M. le Baron G.E. Haussmann is a reproduction of the general plan on a scale of 1:5000 drawn by the surveyors of the municipal service of the plan of Paris. Most maps printed by V. Janson, Paris. Atlas includes a title-frontispiece in an architectural framework, 2 index plans of Paris drawn on the same double page, and 16 plans in double page, 1 folded, numbered from 1 to 16, drawn in chromolithography marked in color showing administrative boundaries, buildings, roads, streets, railroads, bridges, city blocks, landmarks, churches, parks, fortifications, gardens, property numbers or even reference to planned road work. Maps include color coded legend and notes. Bound in green paper covered boards.
