"With Publisher's Handwritten Letter on Verso Rare (unrecorded) promotional map of Idaho by Jolly Lindgren, published by the Lindgren-Turner Co. of Spokane. "Made on Purpose by Jolly Lindgren," this comic pictorial map is full of puns and comic vignettes. The map was specifically made for the large postcard market. The present example is written to Mrs. A.G. Cummings of White Spot, Smelterville, Idaho, from Teho Turner, Junior, promoting the post cards for sale. The Lindgren Brothers issued a number of other silly whimsical maps of national parks and other parts of the West." (Ruderman, 2024)
