Note: 1st ed 1868. From Pacific States map. This is the only edition of this map published by A.L. Bancroft. H.H. Bancroft published the first edition in 1868. The southern mate to this map was published in many more editions: 1868, 71, 73, 76 and 78. When comparing this edition to the original 1867 "mother" map, there are many changes in the eastern half of the map, especially the area around Yellowstone Lake, western Montana and eastern Idaho. The litho is beginning to look tired in some places. Full color by county. Map is folded into patterned navy blue cloth covers 16x10.5 with "Bancroft's Map of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, And British Columbia." stamped in gilt.
